Work with languages in forms
This article describes the possibilities for creating forms that support multiple languages.
AM System offers multilingual support and comes with Swedish and English as standard. It is also possible to order additional languages if desired. If you do not see the option to translate your fields into multiple languages and are missing language settings, it is most likely because only one language is activated in your system. For more information on how to manage languages in the system, please refer to the article Manage languages in AM System.
Translate titles and list options
The multilingual support not only allows the system to be available in multiple languages but also enables you to create forms in various languages by translating all your field titles into the languages you intend to offer.
You can add a field title by selecting a field and then choosing the Fields tab.
Don't forget to add and translate all options in the field types List, Checklist, and Radiolist.
In addition to translating all fields, you can:
In addition to translating all fields, you have the option to Deactivate, Review, and set your Default Language for each form.
💬 Each form has language settings that affect the specific form. When a user interacts with a case in AM System, the system automatically detects the user's preferred language through their linked profile.
- Deactivate languages you don’t intend to use in the current form.
- Review the form in each language. This only affects how the form appears during editing and is a good way to ensure you haven’t missed translating any fields.
- Set the default language for the form during public registration. Since the user isn’t logged into the system, it can’t retrieve the user’s profile settings, so it will display the predetermined default language instead.
