Sometimes, you need support in receiving a reminder that a case needs to be addressed within a certain timeframe. In such cases, you can use the "Lead Times" function.
Lead times, combined with the Addons feature Send Message, can provide the necessary support to ensure that important tasks do not get overlooked.
Lead times
You find the Lead times feature under Advanced » Automate & Integrate » Lead times. It works in conjunction with the field types Date Field and Created Date. Here, you can specify the time interval within which each action should occur, and in the form, you will select the date fields that need to be matched to the action.
❗Note: There is a crucial difference between the Date field (under Numbers & Figures) and Reg.date (under Metadata).
-
- The Date field is used to record when an event occurs and can be edited.
- In contrast, the Reg.date refers to when the case is created and cannot be modified.
Additionally, a repeating field can be created multiple times within the same case, leading to different dates being associated with each instance.
💬 Tip: For individual reminders within the case, consider using the Send Message feature instead.
Send message
To send reminders about the status of a case based on your configured lead times, use the Send Message feature found under the Addons section. Here, you can create a separate message for each lead time and also set up individual reminders for specific cases as needed.
Please note: The Lead time feature for *** can only be set for a single occurrence, meaning it does not support recurring reminders.
