This article highlights possible reasons why a user may encounter an error message after clicking a link in an email notification.
Example of a dialogue:
The notification has already been deleted.
- If the notification has been deleted from the AM System, the link in the email notification will no longer be valid, as the notification no longer exists in the system.
You are not logged in with the user the notification was intended for.
- The links in the email notifications are unique to each user, meaning that only the individual for whom the notification was intended can access the link. If you receive a notification meant for another user, the link will not work for you, and you will see the message "The notification cannot be displayed."
The user who received the notification has a group email linked to their account, and you received the notification because you are part of the email group.
- As mentioned earlier, notifications in the AM System are personal, meaning that each notification can only be accessed by the user it was intended for. If you received a notification that was not meant for you, it could be because someone forwarded the email notification to you. Another possibility is that a user in the AM System has set up a group email (e.g., info@company.com) as their contact address. In this case, notifications intended for that user will also reach other members of the email group. However, only the intended recipient of the notification will be able to view its contents.
