To ensure users see relevant fields in a search result, it is important to configure which fields should be displayed as default fields in the Query Builder.
Background
When a user performs a search in the Query Builder without manually selecting which fields they want to view, the search result will display the default fields configured via the Default Fields in Query Builder setting.
If no fields have been selected in the form, the search result will only display the case number, which likely will not provide the user with enough information to identify the relevant case.

How to Set Default Fields
In each form, you configure which fields should be displayed as default in a search result. This setting can be found under Advanced » Configure » Default Fields in Query Builder.
- Add the fields you want to display as default during a search.
- You can then sort the fields in the list by dragging and dropping them into the desired order for how they should appear in the search results.
- Don’t forget to save your form after making your changes.
