This article explains how to troubleshoot issues where your process map does not appear centered on the screen or on paper when printed.
If your process map is not centered on the screen or on the paper when printed, this may be due to the flowchart content extending across multiple pages.
To check how your objects align with the pages in the layout document, you need to view the document in edit mode. Start by enabling the Grid (1) and Page View (2) functions. These two options should remain active while working on a layout document to clearly see where you are positioning content on the page.
In the example above, you can see a process map that is misaligned and spans four pages (Pages A, B, C, D). When printed, this will result in two almost blank pages (A, B), while the process map will be split across two pages (C, D). In this case, the entire process map should be moved up to Page A.
Another possible cause is the presence of empty objects, such as a blank text block. These blocks contain no text and are therefore not visible in the document preview or printout, but they still take up space and may generate a blank page when printed.
Tip. One way to locate empty or invisible objects is to click and drag a rectangle with the cursor to select an area where you suspect empty objects might be present. If there is an object, it will be highlighted with a blue border, as shown in the image above.
