Published documents are static, which means attachments can only be added or removed when the document is being edited
If you wish to add or remove an attachment from a published document, you must first create a new version of the document before any changes can be made.
When the document is in edit mode, you can remove the file by clicking on the icon that resembles a trash can (2). If you only want to rename the attachment, use the icon that looks like a pencil (1).
Change the contents of an attachment
If you wish to modify the content of an attachment you have uploaded to a document, you will need to follow three key steps.
- First, download the file from the current document to your computer.
- Next, modify the file's content using the appropriate software on your computer.
- After making the necessary changes, create a new version of the document.
- Follow the instructions above to remove the old attachment.
- Finally, upload the updated file that you edited in step 2, as outlined in the related article below.
