Why do I receive the error message “Oops, either you lack access or you are trying to submit invalid data” when I try to send a notification?

Symptom

When a user tries to send a notification, the following error message appears when they click Send:

ojda_avisering_eng

This can happen even if the user has full permissions in the system.

Cause

This error is most likely caused by a specific text combination in the notification. For example, if the word "system" is followed directly by an opening parenthesis, the system's security validation interprets the text as invalid and blocks the notification.

Quality Management System (AM Systems)

It is important to note that:

  • the word System itself is not a problem,
  • parentheses themselves are not a problem,
  • the error occurs only when an opening parenthesis appears directly after the word system, with no character or word in between.

Affected features

This issue affects all notifications that a user can send in Classic, including notifications from both Case Magagement and Documents.

Solution

Rephrase the text slightly before sending the notification. In most cases, a small wording change is enough for the notification to be sent successfully. Examples:
